Our friends Kyle & Beth and Zach & Blair came for a visit on Wednesday night. I won't mention the fact that Jeffrey sprang this on me about 5 minutes BEFORE they knocked on our door....and I really hope they won't mention the fact that our house was basically a disaster area. I was sort of in the middle of decorating/taking a small intermission/just makin' a big ole mess...but, that's what makes friends so great, right?! When they see your mess, but pretend not to notice it ;0)
Everyone went to Georgia College together (except for me....I went to UGA) and now we all have families of our own! It is funny, because there was a group of boys that were all good friends in college (including Jeffrey, Kyle, and Zach) and when they graduated, got married, and started having babies....every single one of them had a baby girl! I think we tried to count how many of them had baby girls at one time and we came up with 14! There must be something in the water in Milledgeville....
Anyway, Z & B and Kyle and Beth were in town for Thanksgiving, so we decided to all get together. Zach and Blair have a sweet little girl named Lily and Kyle and Beth have a new baby named Avery. Although the girls have met each other before, this is the first time all three of them have been together at once. Lily is the oldest at 9 months, Libbi is in the middle at 5 months, and Avery is the "baby" of the group at 10 weeks.
It is so funny to see the different "baby-stages." In the grand scheme of things, they are really not that far apart in age (Libbi and Lily could even be in the same Kindergarten class!) but at this point in time, they seem so different! Lily is pulling up and scooting around everywhere (a nice reminder that we need to start baby-proofing our house!); Libbi is just rolling and can alllllllmost sit up by herself; and Avery is just starting to grab at things and focus in on objects. It is amazing to see how fast babies grow and change!
We had such a great time visiting and catching up! I can't wait until our girls are old enough to actually play together! ;0) Here are a few pictures from our night...
Lib's new thing is sitting up....here she is just "chillaxin" in her chair...
So we decide to sit all the girls in the chair for a group picture....
Libbi is okay with it for about .02 seconds. This is the ONLY picture we have of all three girls looking somewhat happy...
And then we became the parents of THAT baby....you know, the crying, screaming, unhappy baby with the stink face in all the pictures....yeah, THAT baby. (In her defense...it was waaaaay past bedtime and she had pretty much reached her limit)
Libbi decides that she's had enough and she knows exactly how to end this little photo session...
Jeffrey and Zach come to the rescue (poor Lily doesn't know what to think...and Avery is just chillin') and being the good mother that I am....I just continue to snap pictures. ;0)
We settle Libbi down and then attempt to try again...
yeah...not happening.
So we settled for a picture of two out of the three girls...
Here is a picture of all the daddies and their sweet babies
Zach and Lily, Kyle and Avery, and Jeffrey and Libbi
Beth and Avery, me and Libbi, and Blair and Lily (please excuse Libbi's face, she was thinking this was the picture where we were supposed to make a silly face, but unfortunately she was the only one that got that memo....)
And finally, I just couldn't resist this precious picture of Lily...isn't she adorable?! Look at those blue eyes!!
Thanks Zach & Blair and Kyle and Beth for coming to visit...We can't wait to do it again!
P.S....I promise next time our house will be clean! ;0)
