I haven't blogged much the last few days, but that's not because we haven't been busy!
Here are a few "bits and pieces" of what we've been up to......
*Libbi has been having some serious hair issues (this is important stuff, y'all!) She has been channelling Justin Bieber and not in a good way. Bless her heart, she has some crazy cowlicks so bangs don't quite work for her, but the prominent swirl in the forefront of her hairline says that maybe they should. Now, don't get me wrong, we think she's cute as pie no matter what her hair looks like.....it just makes for a difficult time trying to "style" it when her hair wants to go in every direction except for "down."
Oh well, for now, we'll just call her "The Biebs" and hope we can find a cure for our own version of "Bieber Fever" ;0)
*My mom had someone come clean our house yesterday as an anniversary gift (woohoo - thank you Mom!!) so Libbi and I were out all morning dreaming of shiny floors and sparkling potties. I had big plans of being the BEST housekeeper once I quit work, but when making those plans, I somehow forgot about having my little assistant by my side 24/7. It makes cleaning a little more difficult. It was SO nice to come home to a clean house. I was able to nap while Libbi napped and not worry about what needed to be done. The best part was, that everything was clean AT ONCE! I will not mention how long it has been since our house has had a good, deep clean. It's rather embarrassing. Let's suffice it to say, that when Jeffrey came home yesterday, he said, "It smells weird in here...." and then declared, "I guess that's just what clean smells like." ouch.
*Libbi has been very into pulling stickers off of our furniture. I guess it's partly our fault for not doing it ourselves, but we honestly had no idea they were even there! She has found the warranty stickers for each dining room chair, the dining room table, labels on the back of the entertainment center, and underneath each end table. She gives new meaning to the term, "sticky fingers"
*Libbi and I went to story time at the library yesterday. Note to self: NEVER, ever, ever go without a snack and sippy cup again! It was pure torture for everyone involved. You would have thought the poor child was starving to death and about dehydrate. She leached herself onto every man, woman, and child that had a snack of any kind. She'd spot someone with a snack from across the room, and before I could stop her, she was trying to sit in their lap! I think she made herself at home in the lap of at least half the moms and toddlers in the room. As soon as I would go to retrieve her, she would instantly turn boneless. Such fun. Every cup was fair game as far as she was concerned. It didn't matter if it was on the floor, in a diaper bag, or even in someone's hands. I was pretty much mortified. Libbi didn't listen to a single song or a single story. She spent the entire time saying, "please" and "more!" I didn't listen to a single song or a single story. I spent the entire time saying, "that's not yours" and "I'm so sorry...."
Next week we'll be prepared.
