today was a day of memories....
recalling memories made with loved ones we've lost.
making memories with those still here.
today our family participated in the walk to end alzheimer's.
we walked in honor of grandad.
and as we walked for those whose minds can't help but forget, we made sure to remember.
we remembered the way grandad would sing and dance.
we remembered his famous train whistle and his love for life.
we remembered his servant's heart and his love for the Lord.
today was a day of memories....
a day spent preserving the memories of the ones we love.
and thanking God for every memory making opportunity we have left.
"Lord, remind me how brief my time on earth will be.
Remind me that my days are numbered - how fleeting my life is."
