while libbi is inquisitive and cautious, laney is carefree and a complete daredevil. it takes a lot to make libbi excited - she's not one to show her feelings openly. laney, on the otherhand, gets excited about everything. ev-er-y-thing. and she's not afraid to show it.
laney keeps us laughing like no one else. she says whatever she thinks and feels and basically narrates her entire existence. she does not make a move without first announcing it. which can be a good and a bad thing. ;) she talks all.the.time. and she has no idea what an inside voice is or how to use one.
she does everything full force. from the way she cleans up with a vengeance (while singing "clean up, clean up, erra-body do your share!") to the way she greets you when you enter a room, ("MOMMA'S COMING, SHE'S COMING, MOMMA'S HERE!!!!") even if you just left for 30 seconds.
laylay loves puzzles and coloring. she would do the curious george puzzle 1000 times a day. oh wait, she does. she's just recently learned how to do it by herself and she is SO proud (we are too!)
she loves gummies more than life itself. she requests "doh-ra gummies" for every.single.meal. every single one. and she is literally devastated when i tell her no each time. she has no idea why dora gummies are not an acceptable breakfast. although, the good news is - she's also obsessed with brushing her teeth, so i guess that helps with the whole gummies addiction.
she loves baby liza ("baby why-za") and tries to hold her all the time. i have to watch her closely, because she would pick her up in a heartbeat. although she loves liza to pieces, at this point i think she's pretty interchangeable with any of her baby dolls. and she can pick up her babies and they never butt in on her puzzle building, so sometimes she may actually prefer the doll. plus, she's named them all "baby why-za" ;-)
i basically wish laney was on a 24 hour video feed not only so i could watch her (for my sanity's sake!) but also so every one else could see how hilarious she is. she is such a joy to us and we are so thankful for the laughter and life that she brings to each day. there's never a dull moment, that's for sure!
