the valentine's that might have been….

we've been stuck in the house for days. we've seen sunshine, rain, sleet, snow, and ice. the girls have missed almost an entire week of school (libbi went one day. laney missed her whole "week"). the weather has been crazy. don't believe me? 
just look at this picture: 

on the left is a street in our neighborhood around 10AM this morning. about 5 inches of snow on top of a layer of ice. on the right is the same view of the street around 4PM this afternoon after a day of sunshine. crazy, huh?! 

anyway, since school was canceled due to the snow and ice, the girls' valentine parties were postponed until next week. we have a few valentine's crafted to give their friends when they return to school, but i felt like it was only right to send some out on the actual holiday. 
so, in honor of the day of love - here are the tippins girls valentine's…that might have been. enjoy :)

but, we actually did send out cards! and not any of the ones you see above (i know, such a shame. there's always next year).
